Hello, I'm
Jerzy Zielinski
Senior Software Engineering Leader
Clinical & Healthcare Systems | Full-Stack Architecture | AI-Enabled Applications
About Me
I am a Senior Software Engineering Leader with more than 20 years of experience designing, building, and scaling software systems across clinical, healthcare, legal, HR, and fintech environments. The work I find most meaningful is in healthcare and clinical technology, where strong software can directly support patients, clinicians, researchers, and care teams.
My background spans full-stack architecture, backend APIs, data platforms, frontend applications, infrastructure, and system integration. I am strongest where hands-on engineering, systems thinking, and technical leadership come together — translating complex requirements into clean architecture, practical execution, and durable products.
I also bring a research-oriented mindset shaped by doctoral work in biomedical signal processing and computational analysis, which continues to influence how I approach data-rich systems and complex technical problems. More recently, I have been expanding my work with AI-enabled applications, AI-assisted development, and modern platform design.

Publications
Three-Dimensional Morphology Quantification of Biofilm Structures from Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy Images
IPCSIT · September 2011
Demonstrated that morphological features from gradient-based 3D segmentation outperform both 2D methods and sophisticated algorithms like watershed segmentation for biofilm analysis.
Automated Biofilm Region Recognition and Morphology Quantification from Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy Imaging
Biomedical Science and Engineering · March 2011
Developed an objective, fully automated method for biofilm structure description with standardized parameters independent of user input, using watershed segmentation for CLSM image analysis.
